Job Summary:
Our client, a chemical distribution organization, which is looking for Finance & Accounting Manager who will be responsible for advising the Country Manager (CM) on how to develop & implement financial practices, monitoring & enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures, and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in line with the group policies.
o Maintain accurate financial records by entering and verifying financial transactions in the system.
o Prepare financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements, and provide analysis of the results.
o Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting future cash requirements and tracking actual cash inflows and outflows.
o Work with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. o Continuously review and improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
o Advise CM on the organization’s exposure to risks and the involvement of financial institutions, money market instruments, and treasury management functions where applicable.
o Analyze and assess the impact of investment decisions on the financial position of the organization.
o Analyze the financial performance and position of the organization and develop suitable accounting policies to meet reporting requirements.
o Analyze, compile, and present management information for managerial decision-making.
o Calculate accounting ratios relating to profitability, liquidity, efficiency, and position.
o Identify and adopt business intelligence tools to analyze financial data and information.
o Identify and calculate both financial and non-financial performance measurements for reporting on the organization’s performance.
o Manage a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Examples:
Solid understanding of accounting, tax and financial principles and practices.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software systems – experience with Quickbooks/D365 F&O is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly driven and organized, with an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience:
ACA / ACCA / MBA (Accounting/Finance)
Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Experience in a chemical trading or logistics business is an advantage
Experience in a Multinational company is a plus
