Job Summary:
A Finance business partners will be accountants to work closely with a particular business unit creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management. Their role is to provide ‘real time’ support and analysis, to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
- Manage banking-related challenges along with the treasury management
- Maintain the financial health of the organization
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬/𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬
- Accounting & Financial Reporting, Statutory audit management, Receivable Reporting/follow-ups / Reconciliations
- Cash/liquidity management, debt facility management, maintaining bank relationships, treasury reporting
- Familiarity with SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics 365 working
- Organization where worked, size should not be less than 300 employees (5 to 8 departments/teams)
Finance Department where worked, size should not be less than 10 employees - Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Proficient user of financial software/systems /SAP
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and Tax regulations
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
Education and Experience:
- Proven 5-6 years of relevant experience in various finance departments
- ACCA/CA Finalist or similar education
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Comfortable with meeting with clients on different locations if required.
